About the Bots

What is m0mmyb0t?
m0mmyb0t is a blog for all the parents out there that find typical parenting labels don't really fit them. The village is diverse, and labels are meant for food, not people. If you struggle to make parent-friends because you're sick of all of the judgements and drama, you belong here.

Why m0mmyb0t?I have always jokingly referred to Daddybot as a robot because he is just not an emotional guy. When we found out we were pregnant, it only made sense that our son would be the baby bot. If we have a daddybot and a babybot, it only made sense that I would be the mommybot! To avoid confusion with the "stepford wife" definition of mommybot, I wanted to change the ohs to zeroes to stress that we are nerds, not cookie cutter. And thus, m0mmyb0t was born!

Babybot is our first little muffin, but due to my high functioning anxiety, I have spent an absurd amount of time researching products, parenting styles, peer-reviewed medical journals, and asking my very knowledgable pediatrician one million questions. I've also requested the guidance of friends and family to get a diverse view on whatever situations arise. I don't allude that I know everything, or that "my way" is even the correct way. I simply feel confident that I'm doing the research to enable me to make an educated decision. I am always learning.

You can expect to find reviews, recipes, and anything else that I think goes with my life as a parent. I will try to keep irrelevant posts to a minmum. I will try to be thorough in my reviews, transparent, and will always provide you with my honest opinion and experience. I am not new to blogging and maintained a beauty vlog for years with integrity and candor. My only desire is to continue that in this space.

Who are the bots?
I am the Mommybot, and my name is Elizabeth and I currently reside in southwest Ohio (yes, babybot is already saying 'ope). In my spare time (ha!), I enjoy writing, reading, playing video games, watching movies and sci fi television series, cooking, and sleeping. I work in the social media department for Amazon; my posts and opinions are my own, and do not represent my employer in any way. In my past career life, I was a makeup artist. I worked for Sephora, Too Faced, and First Aid Beauty. I also used to vlog and blog about vegan and cruelty-free cosmetics.

The Daddybot lives here with the Babybot and I, but travels very frequently for work. We live vicariously through his adventures for now, but the little bot and I are looking to join him on an adventure here and there soon. His work life makes for a very different element in parenting that allows me to see glimpses of the struggles of single parents, or those with a spouse on deployment. My hats off to you if either of those apply to you, because what fresh hell is this!

The Babyb0t was born last April. He was late preterm at 37 weeks, and after over 48 hours of active labor, he was delivered via emergency cesaraen section. He was 29 inches long and 7 pounds 1 ounce. He was pumped full of fluid and looked perfectly ridiculous, and got down to around 6 pounds before we left the hospital a few days later. Despite him being a tiny muffin, he's now a giant muffin, and is the high percentiles for weight, height and giant noggin circumference. He's also clever and our constant joy, and we feel like we hit the baby lottery with our grey-eyed wonder.

The family that noodles together, stays together!
